The idea behind NO MAN'S WOMAN came from a music fan's intrigue to hear YOU AM I cover PATTI SMITH's classic ROCK N ROLL NIGGER. The concept has since grown legs and while we were confident in the original idea, it has been the artist communities response that has made the project truly special.
We are just putting the finishing touches on the album but we can confirm that it will be released in late October and that it will be presented live for the first time at LEGS 11 2007.

It doesn't look like the original idea of YOU AM I tearing through PATTI SMITH will be realized for this release, but gives us good inspiration to consider a potential volume 2.
We look forward to seeing these boys do justice to these songs made famous by the ladies and we're honoured to have them launch the album at Legs 11.

Bob Evans
We welcome back Bob Evans to the Legs 11 stage this year to partake in the No Man's Woman Tribute. Since starring on our stage last year, the alter-ego of Jebediah's Kevin Mitchell - Bob Evans, has toured the world and collected an ARIA for his second album, "Suburban Songbook" featuring everyone's favourites "Don't You Think It's Time" and "Friend".
Suburban Songbook is an album of songs about home by someone who spends a lot of time away from it. Mitchell admits to being unashamedly nostalgic, which is not surprising from someone who can sit in a pub with a beer in one hand, a steak sandwich in the other and say, without embarrassment or affectation, "I'm a big fan of romance."

End of Fashion
Your first songs tend to wear the influence of where you come from. And you can hear everything from old school guitar solos to wall of noise crescendos and straight-up garage rock on End of Fashions self-titled debut album. With a couple of ARIAs under their belt, an APRA nomination for Song of the Year, an album skipping its way towards Platinum sales, a gaggle of sold out national tours, releases in France, Germany, Canada and the USA, its fair to say that's not a bad start for a band that's had fun working hard from the start. But beware the lure of stamping this band, because fashion is the last thing on this bands collective mind."We want to break down the walls. Within that context, we can do anything we want no matter whether it's super cheesy or punk", says Justin Burford. "I want to kill fashion, see the end of it."

Dan Kelly
Hailing from the frontierlands of coastal Qld and now a long term resident of inner Melbourne, Dan Kelly has forged an intricate and humorous path into the hearts and minds of Australian music lovers over the last four years. His two records with indie supergroup The Alpha Males '…Sing the Tabloid Blues' (2004) and 'Drowning in the Fountain of Youth' (2006) have garnered rave reviews, 4 Aria nominations, an Inpress 2006 Album of the Year Award plus high airplay on JJJ radio and gained him slots on the 2006 Falls and Big Day Out music festivals. Dan's hyper-narrative and melodic indie rock opuses have earned him the title of 'the thinking woman's hedonist' in a land crying out for more interesting and pretentious titles.
After a successful national solo tour with chanteuse Holly Throsby in March, Dan travelled with his guitar and distortion pedal across the Pacific to play shows in LA, New York, London and Berlin all the while working on writing tunes for his new solo record, tentatively titled "I love myself and I don't want to die".

Lior
There are few artists who manage to capture audiences purely on the strength of their songwriting. No hype, no fashion, just the magic that happens when a lyric and melody are so beautifully intertwined, that there can be no denying its universal connection. Young singer / songwriter Lior is one such artist.
In 2005, Lior's debut album 'Autumn Flow' went on to be one of Australia's most successful debut independent releases, selling over 60,000 albums. Lior was nominated for 5 ARIA Awards and nominated for 'Australian Album of the Year' by Triple J.
Catapulting Lior into thousands of homes around Australia, was the heartfelt hit 'This Old Love', inspiring a huge public reaction from the first time it hit the airwaves.
Lior's currently in the studio finishing off the recording of his second album which will be released in early 2008

Expatriate
After two years, five national tours and a stunning debut album in the bag, 2007 is a year that will see Expatriate surprise the converted and win the hearts of more.
Getting together in 2005, it was clear Expatriate were a band to watchout for. In all the right ways of course…. The first single, The Spaces Between, from the 2005 EP spent six weeks on high rotation on Australian national broadcaster Triple J. They then ended the year with a performance at the prestigious Homebake Festival in Sydney, pretty special for a band only one year old! At the close of 2005 the band had toured the nation three times and played to enthusiastic crowds who took their EP home to sleep in their stereos for the summer.
The year 2006 would see the band build on its blossoming start. The second single off their EP - Killer Kat - gained high rotation on Triple J. A sell-out national headline tour (their first) took place in February. A short trip overseas in March to London and Toronto piqued the attention of many international artists and critics - culminating in Jim Kerr personally inviting the band to support Simple Minds (UK) on the Australian leg of their world tour that May.
Expatriate then settled in Seattle to record their debut album with John Goodmanson (Death Cab for Cutie, Blonde Redhead, Wu Tang Clan) at Robert Lang Studios. Upon their return home to Australia, long time touring bassist Dave Molland (Bass) joined the band.
Expatriate's debut album In The Midst of This, featuring Play A Part, Crazy & The Spaces Between, is out now.
"This night is going to be a celebration of the courageous battle of the men and women who've been affected by this disease. And also, a celebration of the unsung and unseen people of our society who work hard to save people's lives and provide quality of life to those affected by breast cancer, from the big cities to our Indigenous community."
